Supports the hospital by operating switchboard.
Answers, screens, transfers incoming and outgoing calls.
Monitors alarms and code situations to activate notification systems when directed.
Answers calls in efficient manner, uses digital pages as needed
Accesses patient information, uses scripting for all interactions
Required: High School Graduate or equivalent
Required: 6 months as operator or in customer service
Must have excellent customer service and telephone skills.
Must be able to work independently; work all shifts and weekends.
Effective interpersonal and verbal communication skills. Computer skills; basic office equipment (i.e. phone, fax, and copier).
