Job Summary

Directs and supervises patient access and clerical support staff. Coordinates and performs front line office activities in an effective and efficient manner for the department. Coordinates schedules, training and education of all assigned staff. Accountable for the performance and alignment of the access and clerical teams to clinic and system goals.

Job Duties

• Directs and assists with patient access and clerical support to the department.
• Participates in recruitment, interview, and selection process of patient access and clerical support staff.
• Coordinates training and orientation programs for assigned staff.
• Utilizes established metrics to track and report on clerical team performance to clinic leadership.
• Assures continuing education is communicated to and or attended by all access team members.
• Conducts performance appraisals and addresses performance problems.
• Develops and maintains policies and procedures for assigned area.
• Evaluates operations and recommends and implements changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Responsible for staffing plans and daily schedules; establishes work priorities.
• Attends all necessary team meetings as a representative of the access team.

Work is typically performed in an office environment. Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures. Position Details

Work hours are evenings between 6pm and 6am

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)- (Required)

Experience

Minimum of 4 years-Related work experience (Required), Minimum of 1 year-Managerial/Supervisory (Preferred)

Certification(s) and License(s)
