Position Summary: The Database Assistant will support the Systems Administrator and PRIM&R staff with day to day IT support, including our Salesforce/Fonteva database. The ideal candidate will have an excellent understanding of database administration and reporting, and basic computer security best practices. The right candidate will have the potential for accelerated growth within this department.
What you’ll do: • Perform day-to-day troubleshooting and provide technical assistance for the Windows and Salesforce/Fonteva environments. • Perform database administration including account setup, password resets, basic testing, and generating and modifying reports as necessary. • Assist PRIM&R’s System Administrator with launching integrations, applying system upgrades, creating events and products. • Ensure data quality by identifying and deleting or merging duplicate records, cleaning and updating inaccurate data, and helping with data imports/exports. • Communicate data entry policies and procedures to ensure data integrity; identify employee training needs and in conjunction with Systems Administrator, design and implement appropriate employee training. • Work on-site at conferences, answering questions & troubleshooting technical issues. • Act as a member of the organization’s customer service team (e.g., answer phones, process registrations, etc.)
What we’re looking for: • Bachelor’s degree preferred with two years’ experience with database support (Salesforce/Fonteva experience ideal). Experience with Windows and Microsoft Office Suite required. Experience with learning management systems and QuickBooks is helpful. • Candidate with an aptitude and willingness to expand their knowledge in Windows and Azure/Active Directory. • Proven ability to manage projects and competing deadlines. • Effective writing/editing skills, with attention to detail, ability to flexibly and diplomatically work across programs with a variety of staff. Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical experts and non-technical users and management. • Demonstrated proficiency in problem solving, with the ability to self-direct and prioritize tasks. • Strong analytical skills to research, analyze, detect, and correct technical processes. • Customer focus, team orientation, ability to adapt and respond to change, adhering to principles and values.
Relationships: • Internal: Collaborates with the conferences, education, marketing and communications, and operations teams. Onboards and trains all new staff on database and IT. • External: May collaborate with vendors for organization’s systems, and PRIM&R customers.
Salary & Benefits: The salary range for this position is $42,000 – 48,000. PRIM&R offers a full benefits package, including: medical, dental, 401k, generous paid time off, flexible work schedule, summer hours, commuter and home office equipment support, and professional development support. While PRIM&R offers a hybrid work environment, this position requires dedicated time in the Boston office, frequency to be determined.
Travel: All PRIM&R staff are required to travel to the Annual Conference and to the office, on a schedule to be determined.
