Assists in smooth daily operations of the Labor & Delivery, Recovery and Postpartum unit. Assists with vaginal deliveries under the direction of a Registered Nurse and provider and within scope of practice. Functions as a Scrub Tech for surgical procedures. Maintains supplies and equipment on the unit. Assists with maintenance of Point of Care Testing and High Level Disinfection equipment. Performs clerical and business support tasks as assigned. Assumes personal accountability for organizational mission and core values. Day to Day: * Primary Duties will be Scrubbing on C-Sections (emergent/ Scheduled), D&C's, Tubal ligations, emergency hysterectomies, and assisting w/vaginal deliveries. * Providing additional supplies and sterile instruments as needed.* Marinating Sterile field during procedures.* Set up and take down instruments for vaginal deliveries* Cleaning, stocking, and preparation of patient rooms* Functioning in a secretarial role when there isn't coverage. * Assisting with room turnover and restocking for next day's cases.* Answering call lights and doors, making charts, patient check in and rooming, scheduling patients for procedures, arriving/discharging patients in EPIC* Assisting RNs as required.Births per Month- 110+# OR Suites- 2 OR suites *Additional 15% PRN differnitail added to base pay! * Schedule-PRN-Nights-12hrs- 1830-0700No Call but opportunity for extra shifts if desired *Per Policy PRN requires a minimum of 5 shifts per 6 week schedule and 2 holidays per yr.What You Bring/Job Requirements:In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following: * One year of experience in a surgical setting preferred.* Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English* Basic computer skills* High School graduate or GED* Previous experience scrubbing on C-Sections or Main OR Exp required * Completion of a Surgical Tech program required * Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association* Current Colorado Surgical Technologist Registration for associates working in Colorado* Certification in Surgical Technology from the National Board Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or Certification as a Tech in Surgery from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)Physical RequirementsMedium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)Your Connected Community:When people and places align, incredible things happen. Our patient mix is mom/baby couplets and GYN surgical. Our mission is to provide excellent and compassionate care to families during a special time in their lives.
