At Centura Health, we value incredible people with incredible skills - but your commitment to a greater cause is something we value even more. This position supports the perioperative services department in the management and coordination of supplies and instrumentation.  Functions as a liaison between the Operating Room, Sterile Processing and Supply Chain departments to ensure  instruments, equipment and supplies are available for surgical procedures and stored in appropriate location. Assists in  maintaining cleanliness and upkeep of equipment and supplies in the environment. Assists in smooth daily operations of the department by performing routine, ancillary duties according to standards and policies under the direction of an RN. Assists with patient care, opens sterile supplies, transports equipment, helps with room turnovers, and prepares case supplies.What You Bring/Job Requirements:In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following: * High School Diploma or GED * One year of experience in a surgical and/or sterile processing setting* Knowledge of surgical instruments* Computer skills required* Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association uopen hire or within 90 days of hirePhysical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)Your Connected Community:When people and places align, incredible things happen.
