SALARY:
$16.44 - $20.52+ per hour. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill, knowledge, experience, education, and credentials.

Primary Purpose
Provide administrative assistance and support to the Simulation in Medicine and Surgery Center.
Essential Job Functions
Standardized Patient Encounters - Assist in recruiting, screening, and hiring plan for live actor Standardized Patients who are then trained to portray patients for student learning. Assist in scheduling standardized patient encounters, including student schedules. Ability to work in both a virtual and in-person simulation environment.
Surgical Simulation- Assist with setting up simulated events, both intra- and extra-curricular. Assist in setting up Surgical Simulations and maintenance schedules of task trainers such as Cut Suit and others. Assist with maintaining surgical inventory and ordering supplies.
Manikins- Assist with set-up and execution of simulated manikin events, both intra- and extra-curricular. Assist in scheduling all simulation events. Assist in maintaining inventory and maintenance.
Assist in facilitation for all aspects of training and exams/events for simulated events, including scheduling and room set up in collaboration and under the direction of the Director.
Assist in all aspects of the EMS system (or other software programs), including entering case material, checklists and post-encounter forms, all details for creating simulation sessions, monitoring and troubleshooting during sessions, entering student and other data, and maintenance and security of the system.
Maintain a secure and organized system to retain students' records pertaining to all simulation activities.
Assist in the planning, development and growth of Simulation in Medicine and Surgery.
Demonstrate collegiality, compassion, and professionalism as the first person of contact for people entering the SIMS Center.
Collaborate with other departments and support other AA's as needed.
Serve on university committees.
Help build a culture that respects, values, and promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Simulation.
Marginal Job Functions
Track inventory and order supplies for the Office.
Copies and collates simulation event materials.
Assist in the maintenance of SIMS website materials.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Answer phones, route calls and schedule appointments
Assist in arranging travel and lodging logistics
Maintain Master Calendar
Order all supplies for the department and file expense reports as needed
Provide cross-coverage for other Administrative Assistant(s) as needed
Comfortable working with Microsoft Office programs

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Two years of previous experience in an administrative support position, or equivalent work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
College Degree
Professional background or experience in medicine or education.
Knowledge of scientific and medical terminology.
