May perform direct and indirect patient care including vitals, hygiene measures, and basic care for antepartum, postpartum and newborn patients.  OB Techs functions include:* Assists with vaginal deliveries under the direction of a Registered Nurse and provider and within scope of practice. * Functions as a Scrub Tech for surgical procedures. * Maintains supplies and equipment on the unit. * Assists with maintenance of Point of Care Testing and High Level Disinfection equipment. * Performs clerical and business support tasks as assigned. * Assumes personal accountability for organizational mission and core values.Day to Day duties:* Scrub and first assist for C- Sections, D&C's.* Set up and clean up for vaginal deliveries.* Stocking of equipment and supplies.* CNA duties for L&D and NICU. * Assist RN as needed Additional secretarial duties per needs of unit. Answering phones, door, call lights, computer entry in EPIC patient documentation system, birth certificates. 80+ Deliveries / Month Schedule- 36hrs /wk- nights - 1900-0730What You Bring/Job Requirements:In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following: * One-year patient care experience preferred, i.e. OB Tech, LPN/LVN, EMT, CNA,* Medical Assistant or Surgical Tech experience* Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English Basic computer skills* High School graduate or GED* Completion of a Surgical Tech program, preferred* Previous Scrub experience with OB Procedures preferred * Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association* Colorado Surgical Assistant License or Surgical Technician upon hire unless performing Surgical Assistant duties within the scope of another active Colorado license, certification, or registrationPhysical Requirements-Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)Your Connected Community:When people and places align, incredible things happen. LDRP, circulate and PACU recovery for C-sections, antepartum, OB triage and outpatient procedures. We are the only Labor and Delivery unit in town, so we care for everyone low risk to high risk. We do not receive overflow from other departments. Our mission is to give everyone the birth experience they are looking for whether it is all-natural with our midwife group or a high-risk pregnancy with our OBGYN group and everything in between.
