The Surgical Associates department at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital (NVRH) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Medical Office Secretary to join our team. NVRH's skilled team offers a full range of general surgery in our state-of-the-art facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

• Communicating with patients in person and over the phone
• Coordinating patient care and referrals
• Maintaining patient records
• Scheduling, canceling appointments, and maintaining patient flow
• Ensuring accurate demographic and insurance information for patients
• Interacting with employers and employees
• Handling communications, including mail and telephone
